The City of Wenatchee, Washington and the Port of Chelan County worked with Praxis Strategy Group in 2000. The group developed a strategic plan that focused on jobs with higher earning potential, preservation of quality of life, diversification of the economy, and improved coordination and processes for civic and government sectors.
As a result of the strategic plan, Wenatchee built a technology center that is now occupied by Yahoo!. The area has become an epicenter of electric vehicle technology and attracted over $400 million in commercial and housing development on the Columbia Riverfront.
