From 2010-2015, Praxis Strategy Group worked with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Dream Big Campaign to develop Enterprising States, an initiative to spur the creation of 20 million jobs over the next decade.
Praxis determined the best practices used by individual states to successfully develop job growth. The results of the study will play a pivotal role in creating the conditions for competition, innovation and productivity known to improve job growth. With this knowledge, states and enterprises can make confident investments in workforce development and training, science and technology, and infrastructure.
2014’s report, “Re-Creating Equality and Opportunity” was the fifth annual report looking at “free enterprise policies being implemented to promote economic growth at the state and local levels.” Previous national reports were widely cited by state policy leaders and media and were launched at governors’ summit events in Washington, DC each year. As part of the project, regional events have been held in five states featuring state-specific reports and presentations by the Praxis team.
Enterprising States will help facilitate local job growth by championing entrepreneurship and mobilizing effective partnerships. With states and businesses working together, they’ll be able to bolster exports in global markets, which will lead to increased business growth and job development.
